I'm fortunate to live in a beautiful place in this World. A place where it seems that most people want to visit. When I first came to New Zealand in 2007, I was on Holiday. I moved here 3 months later. But living somewhere is quite different from being on Holiday there. We look at it differently and forget to see it how visitors see it, with fresh eyes.
Some time ago I heard of the concept of a 'Holiday at Home'. So I decided to try it over a weekend. I didn't go far, but it was about a change in my mindset. The result was a great few days in my own 'backyard'.
So I invite you to join me for the occasional 'holiday in my backyard'. If you're a Kiwi living in New Zealand, maybe you'll be reminded of what is at your doorstep. And if you're someone planning to visit New Zealand, maybe you'll get an idea of some of the amazing experiences you can have in this country.
